I'm trying to lighten the load on my PC and have uninstalled Microsoft Office, since Syncdocs claims I can edit Word docs without needing Word, and converts files upon upload/download.
But I must be missing something. Google Docs only show up as shortcuts in my local Google Docs folder, and double-clicking them doesn't open them at all (I am using the latest Chrome under Windows 10). I see no conversion happening. I seem to be unable to find any specific documentation about this (though I could certainly be overlooking it). Please help!
